THEY WENT TO THE GROCERY STORE WITH THE PRINCIPAL AND A NZAI SOLDIER CAME UP TO HER AND ASKED HER WHAT HER NAME WAS AND SAID IS THAT A GERMAN NAME AND SHE SAID QUICKLY NO IT IS A FRENCH NAME AND SHE THOUGHT HE COULD SEE THROUGH ALL HERL IES AND HE WOULD TAKE HER AWAY.

Edith and her friends have arrived at their boarding school and it is right next to a cemetry, Edith doesn't like her new school , its got stains on the walls and seems all dirty and scrubby. They went outside in the dark and sang a Jewish song quietly so no one could hear them.

Edith has just been awoken and told that she is going with 3 other girls to a boarding school in Ste-Foy-la-Grande. She is told that she must try and forget about who she really is. She didn't get to say goodbye to Gaston. But atleast she is  with Sarah

I think that this part is sad because she has too srart a whole new life style and no one is allowed to know that she is Jewish , all they know is that their parents 'died' and they had no where else to go.

She had a dream that people were asking who she was , but she couldn't remember her fake name. She doesn't want to be someone shes not and she remembers her mum saying to her 'remember who you are' She is very nervous and scared.

I think I would be nervous if I was her, because you have to keep running from people , shes scared and nervous that people are going to find out that she is Jewish.

She has been camping , because the Nazi's were raiding Mossiac , but they didn't get caught. They came back and several days after they were told that they had to leave the house completely , they were told they would be given new identities. They are going to different places because it isn't safe in Mossiac anymore. Edith is very scared , she doesn't want to pretend to be someone she isn't.

She has seen one of the girls in the house leave with her parents , and then a couple of days later she asked Shatta if they had heard anything , and she found out that her family had been arrested and taken to concentration camps. It was Edith's birthday and her mother came to see her , but she had too leave and it made Edith sad.

She has just gone to the Mossiac , and she really enjoys it , everyone is so nice to her and they all know she is Jewish but they treat her the same.She has become better at school because she gets the extra help she needed.She just hopes that she gets to see her family again :-)

The Machine Gunners 3-5

1. He spilled the ink on his friend so he could distract the teacher.
2. Chas’s dad doesn’t ask him if he knew anything because his dad was furious about the cops his dad hated them.
3.The police are concerned about the gun because it is the newest machine gun made it has 2000 rounds and can shoot through bricks.
4. They thought a child stole the gun because the saw mark was quite rough and they thought it was a smart child’s work
5.The police did not look in the rabbit hutch because they wouldn't fit and if they did they would’ve found the gun.
6. Chas likes to do whatever he wants whenever he wants, like he doesn't care about anything or anyone.
7. Boddser was easy to make fun of, he likes to be better than everyone else.
8.I think that they will be found out and taken to Hitler , but they wont die and then they will ride there special unicorns to the land of rainbows and unicorns and lollipops :-)
9. This story is written in 'present' time, the person writing this was not involved in the book apart from writing it, even though its made up :-)

They were stopped in the street by a Jewish soldier and he found out the were Jewish but he knows Edith's father and tells them to leave immediately for their own protection, so they packed there stuff.

I just read the introduction , it was just explaining about what Hitler did and how many people were killed , also how they hid the Jewish children from being killed.

It's sad how many people were killed in the war because of Hitler. It shows that some people are disturbed in many ways, but the parents or adults that helped the Jewish kids keep there lives , makes you think how much their lives were indangered.

My favourite speech .

I really liked Ashley's speech . Firstly it wouldve been extremly nerve wracking too get up and talk with only been learning english for the past 4 weeks considering she is from Korea. She was talking about a band she really liked and we had alisten too it ; she also talked about the most common food there which contains egg rice  , chicken , lettuce and carrots . She suggested we try it. She was a great speaker and talked clearly and made eye contact too.

Trip to New Plymouth

On Monday morning we went on a sporting adventure to New Plymouth. It took us around 5 hours to get there.NOT FUN ;o . When we arrived we went to Devon Intermediate too meet our billeting families. I was paired up with Shania, I'm glad I had someone to be with instead of being by myself >:) . We went home and got dressed . We went into town to look around ; it was so cool. At around 7 we went out too dinner at a restaurant called Marbles, it was so embarrassing because we saw the teachers eating at the same restaurant too ! LOL.
The next 2 days were cruisy , we had our sports and we won basketball 41-19 :D yus! . We won altogether considering we won 4 games and they only  won 3 . AHAHHAHA 5 years in a row now :-) . They did a closing ceremony and they did a Pacifica group , it was really funny. Overall I Had a great time.
